Heavenly

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth … “
(Genesis 1:1 NASB).

As amazing as the night sky is --- full of glittering stars and lights dancing among them --- the solar systems that exist beyond our vision are virtual playgrounds of light displays highlighted by the many gases and reflections of other suns, moons, and countless galaxies.

On the fourth day:

“Then God said, ‘Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth’; and it was so.
God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.
God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.
There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.”
(Genesis 1:14-19, NASB)

And at the end of the sixth day:
“Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts.”
(Genesis 2:1, NASB)

Imagine what the trip to Heaven will look like should we be allowed to enjoy the view as we rise upward to our eternal home. “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained;
What is man that you are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You care for Him?”
(Pslam 8:3,4, NASB)

Every once in a while I think about the time on the way to heaven or hanging around "out there" and seeing all those glorious stars and how they glow and flow together.

Was lovely.

Thank you, ladies. One of my favorite things to do is to be on our houseboat in the middle of the lake at nighttime. The night sky -less competition with surrounding lights - is spectacular. Imagine the view from above :)
