“I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade on your right hand.
The sun will not smite you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
The Lord will protect you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.
The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in
From this time forth and forever.”
(Psalm 121:5-8, NASB. Emphasis mine)
To say we are living in tense times could garner an award for the understatement of this century. Uncertainty has become the norm. Our future, finances, even our freedom, hang in the balance. Thankfully, the story does not end here.
We do have a Keeper and He is seated at the right hand of God. It's been said that when someone mentions your name in prayer, it is being spoken by the King of Kings in the very throne room of God. Your name uttered in the ear of our Creator. Our Advocate, our Keeper, never sleeps.
Maybe our days are not so uncertain after all.

This reminds me of a song by Glad (although none of it starts with K.)
"I will never be afraid. God is my Rock. I will never be afraid. God is my salvation."
Such an awesome reminder of our ultimate assurance!
Thanks!

Thanks for this reminder on how secure we really are when we place ourselves in His care. It's what calms my heart when the world stresses it out.

Beautiful photos and beautiful post!
Wonderful post for the letter K! I like to tell people I'm a "kept woman," and when they raise their eyebrows I explain that the Lord is my keeper!
